DIMAPUR, July 16 - Opposition leader and former Nagaland Chief Minister TR Zeliang on Monday sought clarification from National Highways and Infrastructure Development Corporation Ltd (NHIDCL) to clarify whether the two firms ECI Engineering & Construction Co Ltd and Gayatri Projects Ltd engaged in construction of four-lane Dimapur-Kohima road (NH-29) and maintenance of the existing road were complying with the provisions of the contract agreement.

He pointed out that journey from Dimapur to Kohima took around two hours normally. But now due to the prevailing condition, it takes anywhere between three to five hours, causing immense hardship and problems to commuters, he said.
