Former State TT player dies

GUWAHATI, Sept 29 - Former State table tennis player Mrinalini Bora, popularly known as Meenu breathed her last at a local nursing home today. She was 70.

Sports pensioner Bora was a State champion for several years and was honoured by the Assam Table Tennis Association (ATTA) few years back for her contribution to the State. She also represented Assam in national championships from 1964 to 1968. She retired from the Kaliram Boro Girls High School.

Her death has been condoled by the ATTA president Mriganka Barman and secretary Tridib Duvarah on behalf of the association.

She leaves behind her husband, a son and daughter in law.
