GUWAHATI, Feb 7 - The Assam Pradesh Youth Congress (APYC) is organising a �jail bharo� programme tomorrow in the city as part of its agitation against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act, 2019 (CAA) and also to press for immediate release of its president Kamrul Islam Choudhury.
APYC workers will gather at the Manabendra Sarma Complex at Dispur at 10 am.
APYC general secretary Suman Kalyan Bora said that the police arrested Choudhury on fake charges even after the youth leader had secured bail from the court just because he took part in anti-CAA protests. Bora alleged that the BJP government is harassing its political opponents.
