GUWAHATI, July 14 - The Centre for Women�s Studies (CWS), in association with the Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC), Cotton University, is organising a webinar series on gender and the present times titled �Gendered Sites, Everyday Lives� through the current month.
According to a press release, the first webinar of the series was held on July 12 on a Zoom platform where Prof Maitrayee Chaudhuri from the Centre for Study of Social Systems (former director, Women�s Studies Programme) Jnu, spoke on the topic �Gender and Society: A COVID-19 Perspective�.
The series will feature three more webinars on July 17, 24 and 31, where the respective speakers will be Prof Rekha Pande, professor of history and former head, Centre for Women�s Studies, University of Hyderabad; Prof Rukmini Sen, professor of sociology, School of Liberal Studies, Ambedkar University Delhi and Prof Geraldine Forbes, distinguished teaching professor emerita, State University of New York, Oswego, Usa.
