Warjri skips Assembly

SHILLONG, Nov 24 � Meghalaya Home Minister Roshan Warjri skipped yet another day of the Winter Session of the State Assembly here today sending a message to Chief Minister Mukul Sangma about her unhappiness over the killings in the Garo Hills region.

Wajri, who became the first woman Home Minister in the North East when she was sworn in last year, tendered her resignation on November 20 owning �moral responsibility� for the �violence and senseless killings� in Garo Hills region.

She did not attend Friday�s session, but was present on Saturday as the Chief Minister inaugurated a multi-facility utility centre-cum-community hall at her constituency in Mawkhar. The Chief Minister was yet to accept her resignation. � PTI
