IMPHAL, March 28 - Assam Rifles troops along with police launched operations in Kharashom and Khurai areas of Imphal East district in Manipur and apprehended two active cadres of the banned People�s Liberation Army (PLA) on Thursday, according to a press release.
Assam Rifles troops also apprehended a drug peddler and seized 810 numbers of WY tablets worth over Rs 4 lakh at Khudengthabi check post in Chandel district on Friday, it added.
The tablets were concealed inside a cigarette packet. The drug peddler identified as Sori Devi was travelling in a Maruti Van, it said.
