UALA condemns arrest of Robinson

TURA, Nov 25 � The United Achik Liberation Army (UALA) has condemned the arrest of one Robinson Marak from near Bajengdoba in North Garo Hills. In a release today, the political affairs secretary of the outfit, Rangdat Garo has claimed that the arrested Marak was in no way involved with the UALA and was an innocent civilian.

Marak was arrested on November 21 when he was on his motorcycle. He was identified to be from amongst the first batch of UALA as well as a former member of ANVC (B).

We condemn the act of police department and the mute State Government�s attitude on the recent arrest of innocent civilian Robinson R Marak, a resident of Bollonggitok, Dolwakgre, at Bajengdoba police outpost and subsequent inhuman torture and harassment��of��his family members�, said Garo.
