Two more COVID patients die in Tripura

AGARTALA, Nov 15 - Two more COVID-19 patients died in the past 48 hours taking Tripura�s death toll to 359, said an official release issued by the Health and Family Welfare Department today.

Altogether 154 positive cases detected in the State in this period from 4,538 tests conducted. A total of 123 COVID patients have been discharged from the COVID Care Centres today. The rate of recovery in the State is more than the new infections.

The reports said, the state�s recovery rate has grown up to 95.52 per cent while fatality rate stands at 1.13 and positivity rate has touched 6.50 percent. The overall Covid situation in the state seems good with recovery is more than that of the new infection. But, experts said the situation may turn worse after the Diwali festival.

Although 34 per cent people has developed antibodies as appeared in the sero survey carried out by the department, the state may witness a surge in the positive case after diwali or during the winter.
