Two minors burnt alive

BISWANATH CHARIALI, Jan 23 � In a tragic incident, two minors were burnt alive this morning at Panchmukh village, Balijuri along Assam-Arunachal border under Jamuguri Police Station in Sonitpur district.

According to sources, a fire broke out in a meji made of straw of one Francis Toppo of the village around 5 am and it spread to his dwelling house while everybody was sleeping. The incident occurred quickly that the family members found no time to escape and two children, Amsu Toppo and Eliyasa Toppo were burnt alive while Francis� wife Julie and their eldest son Borno were severely injured. They were rushed to a hospital nearby in a critical condition. The cause of the fire could not be ascertained. The police are investigating the matter.
