Update: 2010-09-15 00:00 GMT

TURA, Nov 11 - Zenithsky J Sangma has been relieved of his duties as the CEO of the Tura Municipal Board (TMB). The move comes after numerous complaints filed by various traders bodies against the CEO.

According to the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of West Garo Hills (WGH) district, Pravin Bakshi, the order relieving Sangma of his duties was sent on November 6.

The handover will be done in due time and the ADC, Sabrella B Marak, is set to takeover the reins as CEO of the TMB. He was working under the Urban Affairs Department as the CEO, said Bakshi. However, Sangma will continue with his other responsibilities as an Additional Deputy Commissioner.

The ouster of the CEO will come as a huge relief to those that had been seeking his removal allegedly due to the highhanded manner of his dealings with the trader community.
