IMPHAL, March 31 - A driver and a handyman of a truck were kidnapped by suspected insurgents at Koubru Leikai under Sapermeina Police Station of Senapati district, according to reports.
The highway kidnapping took place on Wednesday around 2.30 pm, the reports added. The empty truck was heading towards Dimapur when the incident took place.
Police searched Koubru Leikai area following the incident and recovered the Ashok Leyland truck but the duo were found missing from the spot. The police with the help of Assam Rifles are looking for the abducted transporters.
