Tripura donates Rs 1 cr to Tamil Nadu

AGARTALA, Dec 23 - Tripura Government will contribute Rs 1 crore to the ongoing effort to provide relief to the flood-affected people of Tamil Nadu.

�The State Cabinet in a meeting chaired by Chief Minister Manik Sarkar recently decided to donate Rs 1 crore to aid the people affected by recent floods and rains in Tamil Nadu,� Finance Minister Bhanu Lal Saha told reporters.

The floods left a trail of destruction in Tamil Nadu, claiming over 300 lives and ravaging road and rail links, airport, power and telecom lines. � IANS
