AALO, March 2 - A two-day district-level training for first phase of Census, i.e. house listing, housing census and updating of National Population Register for West Siang, Siang, and Shi-Yomi districts was conducted at the Deputy Commissioner�s Conference Hall here starting February 27, a government press note stated.
The deputy commissioners, besides all circle officers (Charge Officer and additional Census officer and technical assistants of the respective districts were present in the training workshop.
The resource persons were Jamil K Swerr (MT) Assistant Director, MS PB Rao and SA Bora from DCO Shillong. Swetika Sachan, DC-cum-Principal Census Officer of West Siang district highlighted the importance and use of mobile APP for collecting data during field operation.
Earlier, Modo Ete, DSO-cum-Additional Census Officer of West Siang district spoke about the objective and importance of the meeting. Binti Mibang, Circle Officer-cum-Nodal Officer of Census, West Siang district sought everyone�s cooperation in order to launch the programme in an effective manner.
