GUWAHATI, July 6 - A training camp on the songs of Bhupen Hazarika will be organised by the Hkudhakantha Dr Bhupen Hazarika Society for Harmony from July 13 to 15 at the Xavier Institute of Management and technology at Bamunimaidam here, stated a press release issued today.
The training will be imparted by lyricist-singer Roshananda Gogoi and singer Dr Sukumar Baishya from 11 am to 4 pm.
A singing competition will be organised among the trainees on July 15, and the best three singers will be awarded at a function to be held on September 8 � the birth anniversary of Bhupen Hazarika � which will be celebrated as �Ganor Din, Samonnoyor Din�.
Candidates can register their names by depositing Rs 600 before July 13.
