Tinsukia school cricket ends

TINSUKIA, May 11 - Guru Teg Bahadur Academy lifted the Kamal Hazarika Memorial Trophy emerging champions in the Tinsukia District School Cricket Championship.

In the final played at the Katchujan Field here today, Guru Teg Bahadur defeated Holy Child School by 7 wickets.

Holy Child, being asked to bat first, were all out for 123 in the stipulated 25 overs. In reply Teg Bahadur Academy surpassed the target in 16.2 overs losing 3 wickets.

Prizes were distributed by the president and other office bearers of the Tinsukia District Sports Association along with the family members of Kamal Hazarika. All total 15 schools participated in the championship.
