IMPHAL, Feb 10 - For the first time, a tiger census will be conducted in Manipur as part of All India Tiger Estimation which is held every four years. However, the dates for the census are yet to be announced.
In order to conduct the census, a training programme of Forest field staff was organised under the initiative of National Tiger Conservation Authority (NTCA), Union Ministry of Environment, Forests & Climate Change and State Forest Department here recently.
