JORABAT, July 8 - Police seized three trucks that were transporting cattle illegally in Jorabat on Sunday night.
Flouting all norms blatantly, the trucks bearing registration numbers AS-06-BC-3888, AS-01-JC-9256 and AS-23-BC-1692, were carrying 82 heads of cattle from Nagaon�s Rupahi area and were on their way towards Meghalaya. The drivers were arrested in the operation.
It may be mentioned here that many trucks illegally transporting cattle have been seized by Jorabat and Sonapur police in the past one month, among which most of the trucks were reported to be from Rupahi in Nagaon district.
