MORIGAON, Jan 5 � Riding on an extra time goal by Toshi, Tezpur cruised into the final of 62nd Senior Inter District Football Championship for the Khirod Baruah Trophy edging Nagaon 2-1 in the second semifinal played here today.
It was, however, the Nagaon outfit which went ahead early in the 25th minute when Kalyan Konwar found the target.
After the break, Tezpur made a brilliant fightback and scored the equaliser in the70th minute through Tanjao. In regulation time, no team could break the deadlock. But in extra time, Toshi scored the all important goal in the 93rd minute to take his team to the summit clash. The final will be played on January 7.
