TET in 728 centres tomorrow

GUWAHATI, Jan 8 � A total of 3,56,914 candidates will appear in the Teachers� Eligibility Test (TET) to be conducted in 728 venues across the State on January 10.

Stating this at a press conference today, Education Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said that discreet (hidden) observers with video cameras would be engaged to keep vigil during the examination in addition to the regular official invigilators.

Sarma said that the Government was committed to conducting the exam in a transparent manner without any anomaly, and that an amount of Rs 1.5 crore would be incurred on vigilance alone.
