IMPHAL, June 4 � Responding to Baba Ramdev�s call for a nationwide �eradicate corruption movement�, the Manipur unit of Bharat Swabhiman and Pantanjali Jog Samiti today began a protest fast unto death at Chinga Makha in Singjamei, Imphal.
About twenty satyagrahis of Manipur Bharat Swabhiman gathered in Singjamei under the banner of Bhrashtachar Mitao Satyagraha demanding of the Central Government to retrieve the black money stashed in safe havens in foreign countries.
A satyagrahi said at the protest site, �though we are not a political party we would like the Lokpal Bill to be passed and implemented throughout the country. Our demands are for eradication of corruption in the country and for bringing back the black money stashed away on foreign shores.�
