Super Kings beat Knight Riders

KOLKATA, March 16 (IANS): Chennai Super Kings (CSK) beat Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) by 55 runs to register their first victory in the Indian Premier League (IPL) here Tuesday.

Set an asking rate of 8.25 runs, the KKR were bundled out for 109 with five balls still remaining at the Eden Gardens. For CSK, Justin Kemp (3/12) was the most successful over.

Earlier, CSK skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni (66 not out of 33 balls) and S. Badrinath (43 not out of 33 balls) put on 109 runs in their unfinished fourth wicket partnership as the visitors scored 164/3.
