GUWAHATI, July 10 - Sunrise Athletic Club secured their place in the semifinals of the 12th Nripendra Narayan Bhattacharyya Knock-out Football Tournament defeating Rajbari Athletic Club 2-0 at the Nehru Stadium here today.
Striker Rakesh Das ensured his brace with goals in the 4th and 61st minute.
Earlier, Assam Police Blues, Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Club and Gauhati Town Club had already ensured their place in the semifinals of the tournament.
In the first semifinal, Gauhati Town Club will lock horns with Northeast Frontier Railway Sports Club tomorrow while in the second semifinal, Assam Police Blues will play Sunrise Athletic Club on July 12. Final is slated for July 14.
