Summons issued to Rly ADGP

GUWAHATI, Oct 21 - The Court of Chief Judicial Magistrate, Kamrup has taken cognizance and issued summons to R Chandranathan, Additional Director General of Police (Railway) and others after it found a prima facie case against them based on a complaint filed by Anurag Agarwal, presently posted as Inspector General of Police (BTAD).

Advocate Amit Goyal, appearing for the complainant, submitted before the court that the accused by misusing his office as ADGP (Vigilance and Anti Corruption) had harassed Agarwal with an intent to hamper his career. The case was filed under Sections 120-B, 166, 167, 193, 195, 195A, 199, 211 and 500 of the Indian Penal Code. The summons was issued last week.
