IMPHAL, May 9 - After losing their two previous matches at the hands of Punjab based Namdhari XI and Jammu and Kashmir, Mizoram on Monday defeated Puducherry 3-0 in the Pool D match of the ongoing 6th Hockey India Sub-Junior Men�s National Championship Division B played at the Khuman Lampak hockey stadium here on Monday afternoon.

In a Pool A match which was played in the morning session, Uttarakhand beat Kerala 5-0 while in a Pool B match Bhopal trounced Virdhabha Hockey Association 11-2. Similarly Madhya Bharat defeated Gujarat 6-1 in their Pool B match which was also played in the morning session.

A total of 22 teams are taking part in the championship which is scheduled to be concluded on May 16. Assam will take on Mumbai schools sports association at 3pm tomorrow.
