GUWAHATI, Oct 19 - The Regional Science Centre, Guwahati is going to organise a State-level students� science and engineering fair on its premises on November 15 and 16 next.
While the main theme is �Scientific Solutions for Challenges in Life�, the sub-themes are Agriculture and Organic Farming, Health and Cleanliness, Resource Management, Waste Management, Transport & Communication, Mathematical Modelling, Environmental Conservation and Artificial Intelligence & Robotics.
�The primary objective of organising this science and engineering fair is to provide a common platform to the school and college-going students to interact and share their ideas and curiosity on science and technology and make them efficient in problem solving, besides boosting creativity through a learning process. The participants may also showcase their models and creativeness with their innovative ideas on the above themes,� a release stated.
Students from Class�VI to XII (category-A) and above Class-XII (category-B) from schools/ colleges/ science clubs are eligible to participate in the fair.
The Regional Science Centre here will provide necessary arrangement like accommodation, food and travelling charges to all outstation participants. Interested schools/colleges/science clubs have therefore been advised to contact the Regional Science Centre, Guwahati. The last date of registration is November 5.
The five best projects will be selected in Category-A from this fair for Eastern India Science Fair to be held at Kolkata from January 8 to 12 next.
