KALAIGAON, July 4 - Madhurjya Kalita, a class 9 student of Pride Academy, Kalaigaon, has been busy with his innovations at home during the lockdown.

He has made a low-cost automatic hand sanitising machine.

Madhurjya, son of Chitra Kalita, an assistant teacher of Kalaigaon Adarsha High School, made his model with easily available materials.

He used a paper box, battery, LED bulb and a small motor to make this machine, which can be used by all, whether at home, school, shops or offices for hand sanitizing.

Whenever anybody inserts his or her hand into the machine, it switches on automatically to sanitize hands.

People need not touch any part of the machine.

The machine has drawn the attention of teachers and students of the locality.
