State mourning for Arunachal ex-Minister

ITANAGAR, March 19 - Arunachal Pradesh Government has declared a one-day State mourning on March 20 in view of the demise of former Deputy Minister Ngurang Tazap.

During the period of State mourning, the national flag will be flown at half-mast in all government establishments throughout Arunachal Pradesh and the State Government offices outside as a mark of respect to the departed soul.

Tazap, former Deputy Minister of PWD & RWD in Gegong Apang Ministry during 1990-95, breathed his last at International Hospital in Guwahati on Saturday after prolonged illness. He was 58. Governor PB Acharya and Chief Minister Pema Khandu have condoled the demise of the veteran politician and former Deputy Minister.
