GUWAHATI, Feb 16 � On the face of agitations by different organisations on railway recruitments, the Assam Government today sought a report from the General Manager of the NF Railway on the issue.
Official sources said the State Government, in a letter to the GM of the NFR, sought clarifications on certain points regarding the process of appointments. The government asked the Railways to clarify for how many posts the interviews were held yesterday. The government also sought information on how many candidates were from Assam and how many were from outside the State.
