State BJP moves rights panel against Dr Dey

GUWAHATI, Nov 21 � The State BJP today lodged a complaint with the Assam Human Rights Commission against Dr Ardhendu Dey, Minister for Irrigation and Soil Conservation, Assam, for his speech in a public meeting held at Hojai on November 19. The minister had allegedly said that almost everyone in the BJP is a �mad man.� The minister reportedly pointed towards a mentally challenged person, who was passing by the venue of the meeting, and had allegedly said, �Look at that mad man, the BJP is like this mad man and I assign this mad man as the BJP symbol.�

BJP spokesperson Shiladitya Dev told reporters that the minister was so frustrated that he did not even hesitate to insult a helpless person from his Assembly constituency to humiliate the Opposition.
