GUWAHATI, Dec 17 - Social activist Dibyajyoti Saikia today joined Anna Hazare�s Jana Andolan, the new national team of the veteran anti-graft activist, with a legal declaration of never joining party politics.
Saikia has been involved in the support of flood-affected people in Assam for the past 12 years. He has also been involved in maintaining communal harmony and also has been campaigning against superstitious beliefs and witch-hunting.
Talking to The Assam Tribune over phone from New Delhi, he said that he had joined the movement inspired by Anna Hazare�s movement for selfless service to the country and fight against corruption. Saikia has joined as the national executive from Assam.
