DOOMDOOMA, Oct 8 - Daimukhia FC beat Barekuri FC by a solitary goal to win the title in the Samannay Cup Prize-money Day/Night Football Tournament organised by AGRR Samannay Sangha at Athengia playground here.
The only goal of the final match played last night was scored by Sunil Munda in the 63rd minute of the match. Tiffin Tanti of Daimukhia FC was adjudged player of the final. The final match was officiated by Bidyut Baruah and he was assisted by Baikuntha Moran and Ashim Sonowal. Kashmir Kujur was the fourth official and Ratan Guha was the match commissioner.
The final match was inaugurated by the president of the All Moran Students Union Arunjyoti Moran while journalist Abhijit Khataniar inaugurated the souvenir � Samannay. Altogether 24 teams participated in the tournament. Santosh Chutia and Dambaru Chutia of Barekuri FC were given the highest goal scorer and best player of the tournament awards respectively. Dirak Anchalik Football Club got the fair play award.
