Six students bring laurels to Tezpur

TEZPUR, June 1 - The people of Tezpur town celebrated the day as six students from three different schools located in the heart of the town brought glory by achieving ranks in the HSLC examination 2016, result of which was declared on Tuesday.

Brasel Borkakoty of Don Bosco High School secured 14th rank with 572 marks in total. Tanma Bordoloi, Kanchan Prajapoti, Raksha Jalan and Salankrita Gogoi of St Josheph Convent School secured 17th, 18th, 19th and 20th positions with 569, 568, 567 and 566 marks, respectively. Likewise, Pratiksha Baruah of Sankardeva Sisu Vidya Niketan secured 20th position with 566 marks in total.

While interacting with this correspondent, Brasel Borkakoty, son of Dr Jiten Borkakoty and Jyotshna Borkakoty, and a resident of Mission Chariali Lachit Nagar, said that his future plan is to study at Solmara Army Public School in Science Stream.

Tanma Bordoloi, daughter of Manik Chandra Bordoloi and Karabi Bora of Barahalia area here, said that she would study at Darrang College here in Commerce Stream as she wants be become a chartered accountant.

Kanchan Prajapoti, daughter of Prahlad Kumar Prajapati and Anju Prajapati of LDS Road (Garwan Patty) here, said that she would study at Darrang College in Science Stream as she wants become a doctor.

Raksha Jalan, daughter of Rajesh Jalan and Risha Jalan, said that she would study at Cotton College and her aim is to be an engineer.

Salankrita Gogoi, daughter of Girin Kumar Gogoi and Dr Tutumoni Handique, said that she would study at Salonibari Army Public School in Science Stream and has an aim of becoming an engineer or a fashion designer.

Pratiksha Baruah, daughter of Pranab Kumar Baruah and Dipali Baruah of Uddayan Path near Majgaon here, said that she would study at Dibrugarh Salt Brook School and has an aim of becoming a doctor in future.

At Gohpur Barangabari, Sarmistha Mahanta secured 11th position with 575 marks in total from Morning Star High School, while at Biswanath Charilai, from Little Star School, Sauvick Bhuyan secured 11th position with 575 marks in total.
