TINSUKIA, Feb 22 - Sivasagar defeated Naharkatia by a huge margin of 297 runs in the two-day match of the Nuruddin Ahmed Trophy Senior Inter District Cricket Tournament.
On the final day of the two-day match at the Katchujan Field here today, resuming their second innings at an overnight total of 55 runs for 3, Sivasagar amassed a huge total of 308 in their second innings. Facing a huge target of 401 runs in the second innings, Naharkatia were bundled out for a score of 103 runs.
In the first innings yesterday, Sivasagar scored 180 in the first innings after opting to bat first. Naharkatia, in reply were all out for 88.
