SILAPATHAR, Dec 2 - The Siu-Ka-Pha Divas was observed at Silapathar Gandhi Nagar playground with a day-long programme today. The Divas was observed by Silapathar and Simenchapori Anchalik Sadou Asom Ahom Sabha in collaboration with Silapathar Gandhinagar Mahila Samiti.
The programme began with a cleanliness drive. The 14 flags of the programme were hoisted by the president of the celebration committee Prabin Gogoi, district president of Ahom Sabha Bhavisat Dihingia, president of Silapathar Anchalik Ahom Sabha Atul Borgohain, Simen chapori Anchalik Sabha�s Pranab Handique etc. The smriti tarpan was initiated by adviser Duleswar Changmai. A cultural rally was taken out through the Silapathar town. One hundred lamps were lit on the evening in the playground.
