JORABAT, Jan 24 - The Tetelia Brihattar Nagarik Mancha and Asom Gana Parishad local committee today jointly staged a six-hour sit-in near 6 No Tetelia Gaon Panchayat office against the Citizenship (Amendment) Bill, 2016.
The protesters reiterated that the people of Assam would in no way accept the Bill and demanded that it be scrapped to save the identity of the indigenous people of Assam.
The event was also supported by the AASU�s Dimoria and Kamrup Metro units and the local public.
