Silchar-born scientist bags rare laurel for innovation

SILCHAR, July 20 - Silchar-born Bodhayon Dev, a scientist at the Bridge 12 Technologies Inc, a start-up company in Greater Boston in the USA has earned a rare laurel. He has been recognised by the American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME) with the prestigious Old Guard Early Career Award -2018 as 1st runner-up.

This was informed by his father Dr Bibhash Dev, a former faculty of Assam University Silchar.

Dr Dev further informed that the Old Guard Early Career Awards are presented every year by the ASME to the scientists and engineers around the world for their exceptional works in their domain.

�We are happy at his achievements. He wishes to come to his hometown and work towards innovating things to help increase the pace of development of the State and the country,� Bodhayon�s father maintained.
