Shakshi, Promit, Jeet clinch Jorhat Open tennis titles

JORHAT, Dec 30 - Shakshi Baruah, Promit Bordoloi and Jeet Dutta, all three from Jorhat, won the Girls U-18, Boys U-18 and Men�s singles titles respectively in the 29th Jorhat Open Tennis Tournament which concluded at the Jorhat Tennis Club here today.

In the closing function Makhan Lal Gattani, Ashok Gattani, Rajkumar Borthakur distributed prizes to the trophy winners.

(Boys U-18 S/F) Antariksh Tamuly (Glt) bt (9) Jeet Dutta (Jrt) 7-5, 6-3 (Upset), Promit Bordoloi (Jrt) bt Bhasata P Bora (NRL) 6-2, 6-4; (Girls U-18 S/F) Shakshi Baruah (Jrt) bt (1) Nayanika Deka (Ghy) 6-3, 6-4 (Upset), Adrika Rajkumari (Sib) bt Kaatyayini Vashisht (Ghy) 6-4, 6-3; (Men�s S/F) Jeet Dutta (Jrt) bt Rishav Brahma (Jrt) 3-6, 6-3, 6-1, Tushar Paul (Glt) bt Promit Bordoloi (Jrt) 6-3, 6-1.
