GUWAHATI, Nov 9 - Assam chess prodigy Shahil Dey continued his excellent performance and secured 10th position in the World Youth Chess Championship that concluded in Greece on November 5.

Shahil was seeded 21st in the U-8 category and scored 8 points out of 11 rounds and was tied with another 6 players for the fifth position. However, he was placed 10th on the basis of his tie break score in the final ranking. Another Assam player Manthan Kashyap Dutta also took part in the meet (U-10 category) and scored 5.5 points, stated a release.
