GUWAHATI, Nov 7 � A group of senior citizens from Maharashtra at the fag end of their tour to five States of the North-east visited Panjabari Senior Citizens� Club on Friday and exchanged thoughts and ideas with the senior citizens of Panjabari.
Ranajit Sutradhar introduced the visitors to the members of the association, and the visitors expressed the view that all the places of Assam were better than those of Maharashtra. The leader of the group, M Ambrekar said that while the city roads in Maharashtra might be good but rural roads in Assam were better than those of Maharashtra.
Madhuri Ambrekar, well-known classical vocalist, presented several bhajans and folksongs.
