Security tightened in Arunachal

ITANAGAR, Aug 14 � Amid a heightened security arrangement, Arunachal Pradesh is going to celebrate the 66th Independence Day with the stage for the D-day already set.

Central and State Government agencies, including security agencies, are going all-out to ensure peaceful celebration of the national day. The main function will be held here at Indira Gandhi Park, where Chief Minister Nabam Tuki will unfurl the national tri-colour and address the gathering on the occasion. Itanagar and Naharlagun have been divided into six zones and a SP or DSP level officer will supervise each zone, official sources said.
