HAILAKANDI, Nov 7 - Chairman of Board of Secondary Education (SEBA), RC Jain held discussions with the district administration, education officials and centre in-charges for smooth conduct of Teacher Eligibility Test (TET) exams slated for November 10.
At a meeting held at Deputy Commissioner's conference hall here on Monday, SEBA Chairman, Jain explained all important points related to TET exams like dispatch and receipt of exam materials, total ban on electronic gadgets at exam centres, videography at exam centres throughout the day, etc.
Jain further asked Superintendent of Police, Pabindra Kumar Nath to ensure availability of sufficient paramilitary forces at all the centers to which the SP assured of adequate deployment. It was further resolved that frisking of candidates will be done at the entrance by police and school administration and jammer will be installed at the centres.
Deputy Commissioner, Keerthi Jalli instructed the centre in-charges to engage only government teachers in invigilation duty and ensure their training before engagement.
In the second session, Jain held a meeting with all the members of HSLC evaluation zone, head examiners and scrutinizers.
He sensitised them about the common errors made during evaluation of answer scripts affecting result of examinees leading to litigations.
However, the Chairman appreciated that this year there was no error found in evaluation work in Hailakandi district. The Department of education and its members were applauded for such an error-free job this year.
The meeting ended with vote of thanks by ADC, Education, RK Dam. Earlier, Inspector of Schools, Rajiv Kumar Jha welcomed the SEBA Chairman. All the center in-charges were present in the meeting.
Altogether 9,342 examinees will appear for Lower and Upper Primary Teacher Eligibility Test at 28 examination centers across Hailakandi district.
