SIVASAGAR, Sept 4 - The search operation in Dikhow at Dikhowmukh near here continued for the third day today without any success to locate the car that skidded off the embankment to the river with five members of the family of Haren Bora on Saturday evening.
About hundred divers and assisting personnel from the Indian Navy, Indian Army, NDRF, SDRF and local volunteers are taking part in the search and rescue operation.
The nine-member special diver team from the Indian Navy, flown in from Visakhapatnam yesterday and the deep divers from the 21st Para Commandos began their operation since six in the morning today with sonar machines and other equipment.
But they have not been able to locate the vehicle that plunged into the brimming Dikhow at Dechial village, Dikhowmukh with the five- member family inside.
The rescue agencies have prepared a map with suspected points in the area where the vehicle could be traced and they are now concentrating on those points.
