GUWAHATI, Jan 16 - The qualifying round matches of the SAI-AITA Super Series Tennis Tournament for Boys and Girls U-16 got off today at the All Assam Tennis Association (AATA) complex, Chachal, here.
In the girls� event only one qualifying round match was held as all the other 31 players made it to the main round. In the boys� event twenty five players participated in the qualifying round from which eight players will make it to the main round. The final qualifying round matches of the boys event will be played on January 17.
The main round matches of the both boys� and girls� events will start from January 18 and the finals will be held on July 22.
The AATA is organising this all India tournament as a test event for the coming South Asian Games to be held here.
