Sabha team meets three VCs

GUWAHATI, Jan 12 - A delegation of the Asam Sahitya Sabha today held a discussion with three Vice Chancellors � Dr Mridul Hazarika of Gauhati University, Dr Hitesh Deka of Krishna Kanta Handiqui State Open University and Dr Dipak Kumar Sarma of Bhaskar Barma Puratan Sanskrit University � on the forthcoming centenary celebrations of the Sabha.

�The Vice Chancellors interacted with the Sabha delegation in a detailed manner amid a congenial environment. They particularly discussed the matter of electing the in-charge president, his responsibilities, etc., and underscored the need for taking the Sabha forward in the contemporary times and organising the centenary celebrations successfully,� a Sabha statement said.

The Sabha delegation led by in-charge general secretary Abani Mohan Sahariya also formally presented to the Vice Chancellors the resolutions adopted by the Sabha executive and its representative body.
