TEZPUR, Feb 28 - A CID (Crime Branch) team from Guwahati today arrested a so-called RTI activist of Dhekiajuli Dilip Nath from his Panchnoi area residence this afternoon.
The CID team told the media that he was arrested under the Case No-27/2019 CID PS.
It was alleged that the so-called RTI activist and a nature lover had harassed a number of officials of different departments in the name of seeking information under RTI Act 2005. After primary interrogation, he was taken to the CID's headquarter in Guwahati.
