SILCHAR, July 3 - In a fresh development to the rising demands for setting up of a museum in Barak Valley, officials of the Directorate of Museums, Assam visited Barak Valley for a recce on Tuesday.
YS Wunglengton, Director of Museums, Government of Assam visited Normal School, one of the heritage locations of Barak Valley and Rongpur Part II for possible land allocation.
Speaking to the media, the director said, �The government is serious about a district museum in Barak Valley. We have visited two potential locations and reports shall be placed for the purpose.�
