Quiz contest at SMCH

SILCHAR, Jan 10 - The students� union of Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) will organise a State-level quiz contest �Quizathon� on January 12.

In a release issued to the media, Amartya Loying, on behalf of the union informed that this year, it would be the fifth quiz contest organised in memory of a student Raishumai Boro, a student of SMCH who died due to leukaemia on November 17, 2015. Loying further informed that the competition is open for all the interested quizzers up to graduate level. Each teams will have two participants and there will be no entry-fee for participation, he added.

The prizes for the winners is being endorsed by Late Abhijit Dutta Memorial Trust and winners shall take home Rs 15,000 along with a trophy followed by Rs 10,000 and Rs 5,000 as second and third prizes. Also, there are consolation prizes of Rs 1000 each for 4th, 5th and 6th position holders in the contest, the release said. The SMCH students� union has urged upon the quizzers across the State to come up and participate.
