DOOMDOOMA, July 15 - Tinsukia Zila Sahitya Sewi Mancha (TZSSM) has mourned the death of Sahitya Akademi award winning Assamese writer Purabi Bormudoi. In a condolence message, the president of TZSSM Sarifa Khatoon Choudhury and secretary Atul Bordoli have termed her death as an irreparable loss for Assamese literature.
Doomdooma Sakha Sahitya Sabha (DSSS) also condoled the death of the eminent writer. In a condolence message, the DSSS president Arjun Baruah and secretary Deben Deka prayed for the eternal peace of the departed soul.
Press Clubs of Doomdooma, Tinsukia, Saikhowa and Kakopothar, Tinsukia District Journalists� Association, Doomdooma Unit of Sadou Asom Lekhika Samaroh Samity, Ramdhenu Mohila Chora , Rupai Sakha Sahitya Sabha, Sundaram Kabi Sanmilan and several other organisations of Tinsukia district also condoled the death of the eminent writer.
