Prog on human trafficking

GUWAHATI, July 29 - Bethany Social Service Society (BSSS), a Gorchuk-based NGO, organised a daylong programme on �World Day Against Human Trafficking� at Nayan Jyoti Jatiya Vidyalaya, Katahbari, yesterday.

Inspector Dhirendra Kalita from the Gorchuk Police Station was the chief guest on the occasion. He delivered a speech on the topic, highlighting various issues of human trafficking and also on related aspects such as child marriage, child labour and the laws to fight the social evils.

The participants included women from the nearby areas and children, especially girls, besides BSSS in-charge Sister Mavis Nanda, staff and teachers, a press release issued here said.
