Premier League TT gets off to a colourful start

GUWAHATI, Nov 18 - The second edition of the Nagen Hazarika Table Tennis Foundation (NHTTF) organised Syeda Dania Taski Memorial Nagen Hazarika Premier League Table Tennis Tournament got under way at the NHTTF premises here today.

Santanu Bharali, Legal Adviser to the Chief Minister was the chief guest in the opening ceremony. Mriganka Barman president of the Assam TT Association was also present along with secretary Tridib Duarah on the occasion.

Sixteen teams � Giant Whales, Hopping Kangaroos, Scary Sharks, Silent Polar Bears, Gliding Eagles, Howling Wolves, Fearless Lions, Dominating Elephants, Lazy Pandas, Black Panthers, Lightening Cheetahs, Growling Gorillas, Illusive Leopards, Clever Dolphins, Ferocious Tigers, Humble Rhinos, comprising of five players each, are vying for the title in the meet which is played in single round-robin league. Top players of the State are representing the teams and tough contest are on the cards. Four tables are being used for the championship.

Top six teams along with performing players will be presented cash awards along with trophies. The tournament will conclude on November 21.
